Town Christmas Tree Lighting

Hundreds of families, visitors and tourists from the valley flock to Main Street to enjoy the simpler things in life, gathering with family and friends as we sing carols and take part in the countdown to light the Town Tree.
Many visitors come early to stroll Main Street and enjoy the beautiful store windows, a cup of hot cider, or, dine in one of our local restaurants. Carriage Rides will be available from 5:30pm until 8:30pm
TREE LIGHTING FESTIVITIES begin at 7 p.m. as church bells toll the hour. Carolers pass small candles out among the crowd along with song sheets so everyone can join in the fun. Activities culminate as Santa and Mrs. Clause arrive to lead the official countdown and throw the switch to light the Town Tree. More than 3,000 tiny lights festoon the towering evergreen, creating a holiday spectacle while glowing with the spirit of Christmas creating a perfect backdrop for family photos.
Following the lighting, you are invited to take family pictures in front of the Town tree, or, visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus for selfies
or, even take in a movie at the historic Buchanan Theatre which will be showing a Holiday Classic.
